Zachary Parker is a current music teacher with the Albany City School District and the Boys and Girls Club of America. Prior to his time teaching, Mr. Parker spent time at the Berklee College of Music studying under Joseph Holt and was a frequent guest performer with the Gordon College Orchestra and UMASS Boston’s Musical Theatre department. Before Boston, Mr. Parker studied under James VanDemark, Jeff Campbell, and Bob Schneider at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. While in Rochester, Mr. Parker expanded his horizons beyond classical music and began venturing into what else music had to offer. For him, it led to a jazz combo CD recording, a northeast tour with a rock trio and the creation of his own nine-piece Rock/Fusion ensemble, all leading to the creation of his first record. Continuing this passion for exploring the arts, Mr. Parker has continued to tour and perform for many private functions across the Northeast.
