Greetings! It is my pleasure to be back in my hometown after teaching adventures around the country. I was inspired by my local music teachers in Guilderland enough to pursue Music Education at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, and continue on to St. Rose for my Masters. I have taught multiple band, chorus and classroom programs (as well as ELA, Math and Science core subjects) in Ithaca NY, Tacoma WA, and at the ACAA and AMS charter academies in Phoenix AZ. I love teaching lessons one on one and in small groups because students thrive with more individualized instruction, build confidence and competency faster, and have more fun! Enjoying your musical journey is key, and my main goal. I am so excited to support musicians in their exploration of their instruments and tap into what makes studies feel less like work and more like discovery. Students will also inevitably improve their music literacy, sight reading and theory skills, which is built into our time with repertoire. What you WANT to play is priority! My students are valued, heard, appreciated, welcomed and safe in the environment so many filters, fears and stigmas in the world can take a break while we play. I specialize in piano, voice, ukulele, Low Brass, bass guitar and clarinet studies. I also TikTok and enjoy all things science and art!
